In 2002, the Synod Inkhawmpui (Synod 2002, Gen. 31) decided to open a Bible School for access to anyone interested in the Bible and theology in general. This decision was undertaken by the SEC in 2003, and the Presbyterian Bible School was thus created in 18th May, 2004
The Presbyterian Bible School is situated at Owen Building, where it has been located from the start. The SEC decided to make it a permanent place for the school, with the name Owen Building being given for the location itself (vide SEC 230:69). However, the school has no hostel facilities, and students situated out of station are required to rent their own homes.
