My name is LouAnn Stropoli and I am a Research Associate for the Center for the Study of Global Christianity, which is housed at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Our Center, with the Institute of Cross-Cultural Education (McCormick Seminary), the Ecumenical Theological Education (World Council of Churches), and Ramesh Richard Evangelism and Church Health (RREACH) is embarking on a global research project on theological education. This project has been designed to gather data and perspectives on all forms of theological education from every Christian tradition in every part of the world including the smaller rural training initiatives to the larger formal institutions. We are using two tools to gather this information. 1) Our online tool is a survey which can be accessed at https://www.research.net/s/globalsurveyontheologicaleducation It may be more convenient for the larger training institutions. When this survey is completed, the respondent will be added to the list of correspondents who will receive a summary evaluation at the end of 2012. 2) The second tool we are using is a short email questionnaire which may be more suited to smaller non-formal training centers or for those who are in areas where the internet is less reliable.
