Proposal for Social Action Committee was received by Synod in 1978, SEC was assigned to prepare necessary regulations. By 1979, the ‘Khawtlang Nun Hruaina Committee’ Synod Social Front came into existence. In 2002, Hmarphei Presbytery proposed that the committee be promoted to an independent department under Synod, on approval, the task has been entrusted to SEC.

16) Synod Rescue Home, Durtlang : People who are victims of alcohol and substance abuse are looked after at Synod Rescue Home. The home can accommodate 60 men and 15 women.
17) Synod Rescue Home, Champhai : With the approval of Synod Inkhawmpui, Synod Rescue Home Champhai was established at Champhai Vengthlang Kohhran area adopting ‘Chhanchhuahna In’ on April 19, 2021. There are currently 15 seats for men only.
18) Synod Charity Store : Synod Social Front opened ‘Charity Store’ in 2016 at two places viz. Zosapthara Building, Mission Veng and at Vaivakawn Church. These stores stockpile clothes and other useful materials which have been donated by church members all over Mizoram. The donated goods are then sold at a relatively lower price, at times even given away for free.
19) Old Age Day Care Centre : With the approval of Synod Inkhawmpui 2014, recreational and day care Centre for senior citizens was started in 2016. ‘Old Age Day Care Centre’ now functions at Synod Conference Centre, Sikulpuikawn.
